According to many liberal Democrats, if you criticize President Obama, you must be a racist. Are those numb nuts for real? Do you mean to tell me that I can’t criticize my President without being called a racist? I guess so, according to them!
In addition, besides being called a racist, Republicans are routinely called heartless, cruel, homophobic, sexist, proudly ignorant and inherently violent. Gee, I didn’t know I was such a terrible person by being a Republican? Even a flame-throwing Congressman like Congressional Black Caucus whip Andre Carson said that, “Some of these folks in Congress right now would love to see us as second-class citizens. Some of them in Congress right now with the Tea Party movement, would love to see you and me hanging from a tree”. Where’s the outrage by the liberal media condemning outbursts like that? But no, no outrage, as the vile messenger of hate was a Democrat and he was black. Democrats never have say they’re sorry. Doesn’t that add up to a racist comment?
Just recently, the tragedy of a young 17 year old boy, Trayvon Martin, was shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer, George Zimmerman. When this story hit the news media, all hell broke loose. We had so-called black leaders such as Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-Miami), come to Sanford, Florida to stir up trouble by depicting the shooting as a racial incident. They claimed that Zimmerman (a white man) shot the unarmed Trayvon for no apparent reason other than he was a black boy wearing a “hoodie”. The din of the prodding of the Sanford Police Dep’t. to arrest Zimmerman reached a crescendo, and a special prosecutor was appointed to hasten the demand for “their” justice. Most all news reports and the “racial arsonists”, found Zimmerman guilty even before all the evidence was collected and evaluated. Well, as predicted, Zimmerman was finally arrested and remanded to jail. While in jail, some of the facts started to be released. Those facts seemed to back up the claim that Zimmerman was the victim of an attack by Trayvon and he seemed to have shot Trayvon in self-defense (the gun used by Zimmerman was legally registered). Quite ironically, it also was revealed that Zimmerman was part Hispanic who also had a grandparent who was black. In other words, he wasn’t the “lily white” racist murderer he was portrayed to be.
The case is still pending, but it is a case study in a race to judgment by an out-of-control media and racial hustlers like Jackson and Sharpton. It was similar to the Duke Lacrosse case, whereby innocent college kids were vilified and called racists for a crime none of them committed, other than being “white“.
So, when these purveyors of racial disharmony throw out that term “racist” willy-nilly, just tell them to look in the mirror to see who the real racists are.

MORT’s Meanderings
OBAMA: The gift that keeps giving.
I really have thoughts to express on other subjects but, each new day brings another brilliant statement from Obama that is so stultifyingly stupid that it simply cannot be ignored. And so, sadly, I find that I am in an almost perpetual anti-Obama response mode.
Today’s response was prompted (demanded) by his ludicrous attempt to explain the anatomy of businesses in terms of entrepreneurs who only thought they had conceived and created their businesses but really, they didn’t – it was others who built the roads and bridges that actually made those businesses successful - - - Whaaa-a-a-at??
When I heard him utter that bit of off-the-wall illogic, using his most ‘down-home-lemmy- have-an-amen’ preacher-man tone – in that sing-song cadence he uses to mesmerize the Kool-Aid crowd, I almost wretched. The man is way beyond ludicrous.
What Obama doesn’t know about entrepreneurship is precisely what he doesn’t know about the free-enterprise system; is precisely what he doesn’t know about finance; is precisely what he doesn’t know about work ethic; is precisely what he doesn’t know about employee-management relationships; is precisely what he doesn’t know about how this country works; is precisely what he doesn’t know about our founding, our history; our traditions, our values – or any other damned thing. In fact, Obama is an inept oaf with a motor-mouth and precious little else to recommend him.
Let me back off from that appraisal just a bit - - - he does have a special knack for irritating the living hell out of me. I guess that’s sumthin’.
I believe it is time to wrap up the gift that keeps giving.

Is Obama Going Back to His Community Organizer Roots?
Before Barack Hussein Obama started his political career in the home of admitted domestic terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, he was a rabble-rousing Community Organizer in the City of Chicago. His job in those days was to mobilize the residents in the inner city (a/k/a mostly black people) to demand as many “freebies” as they could “”shake down” from the city and businesses (mainly banks). That’s what a Community Organizer is supposed to do. He was a follower of the late Saul Alinsky, an avowed Marxist and radical around the 60’s and early 70’s. In fact, during his time as a lowly law lecturer at the Univ. of Chicago, he taught classes on the workings of Alinsky and by using his book called, “Rules for Radicals”.
Today, Obama is using the same tactics as what he used during his days as a Community Organizer. The only difference is that today he is the President of the United States and those tactics are not very presidential, to say the least.
Many have said that you can take Obama out of Chicago, but you can’t take Chicago out of Obama. He is using the same political ideas that have been used by the Democrat machine to maintain control of the City of Chicago for many decades, including the present Mayor, Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s former Chief of Staff. It is called the “Chicago Way”.
For his re-election campaign, he has set up his campaign headquarters in the City of Chicago, that is led by the “Red Diaper” baby called, David Axelrod (his parents were avowed Marxists). His chief presidential adviser is Valerie Jarrett, another lefty Marxist from the corrupt City of Chicago.
The tactics he is using in his re-election campaign is right out of the Saul Alinsky playbook. He is trying to demonize his opponent, Mitt Romney, by making outrageous personal charges against him, and which are in fact, lies. Even when his statements are shown to be falsehoods, he doubles down and continues to spout them in his ads. Famous liberal publications such as the Washington Post, Fact Check .Com., and the very liberal N.Y. Times, have all called those anti-Romney Obama charges as falsehoods, and even the Wash. Post fact checker gave those ads “4 Pinocchio’s” as being outright untruths. But, just like a Community Organizer, the end justifies the means and it’s full speed ahead in trying to destroy his opponent.
I have the gut feeling that his blatant false attacks are going to backfire on him, as the general public doesn’t like to see their President get down into the gutter in campaigning like a sleazy Chicago politician. There will be a backlash against Obama, and Romney will be our next President. It can’t come soon enough.

MORT’s Meanderings
America’s ‘hard-working folks’.
Whenever I hear politicians refer to the ‘hard-working middle class’, my skin begins to itch. This over-used, often mis-used expression just seems to roll off their tongues with such ease.
There are of course, exceptions to every generalization. I’m quite certain that among those categorized as ‘middle class’, there are some folks who avoid hard work every chance they get.
I am equally confident that the same can be said about the ‘hard-working poor’. And for that matter, the same goes for the ‘hard-working rich’. But at least, the ‘hard-working rich’ are able to do their hard work in nicer, more comfortable surroundings than the other ‘hard-working’ groups.
I’ve worked shoulder-to-shoulder with many folks in each of these ‘hard-working’ categories. Been known to do some ‘hard-working’ myself however, have yet to reach the coveted category of, ‘hard-working millionaires’.
But, this is still America, the land of opportunity. And, I keep scanning the news for the obituary notice of a rich uncle who named me in his will to the tune of a few ‘mil’. So far, no luck. However, if that unlikely event should occur, I’d be obliged to join yet another ‘hard-working’ group – ‘the hard-working fortunate’. Seems there is no easy way to avoid belonging to one ‘hard-working’ group or another.
But, back to my original harangue: Politicians who constantly refer to ‘hard-working’ folks. I feel safe in ‘generalizing’ that the great majority of such self-serving jackasses will latch onto any phrase or expression they calculate is likely to ingratiate themselves to whichever audience is in front of them. Again generalizing – usually, the only thing that is hard-working about such blabbering ‘public servants’ is their rhetoric.
I rest my case. Now, back to something less challenging, like maintaining my proficiency at opening a bottle of cheap red wine with a ‘hard-working’ corkscrew.

CULTURE OF CORRUPTION - PART 2
The “culture of corruption” recently lost one of its adherents with the passing of Rep. John Murtha (D-Pa.), the self-styled “King of Pork”. His passing doesn’t alleviate the endemic problem in Wash. D.C., but it points up how pervasive the problem really is. It is one of the reasons why the public, according to recent polls, have Congressional approval poll numbers in the low teens. Besides the health care debacle, the honesty and integrity of the members of Congress was the reason why there was a major overhaul that occurred in the elections of 2010. We must CLEAN the HOUSE and the SENATE of more Democrats, and continue the cleansing on Nov. 6, 2012, starting with our “Liar in Chief“, Barack Hussein Obama!
Remember in 2006, right after the Democrats took control of Congress (they were sworn in and took control in Jan. 2007), Nancy Pelosi said that she was “going to drain the swamp of corruption” that the Republicans left for the Democrats? Well, how did those words turn out? It looks like dike has cracked again and the polluted water is again poring back into the swamp.
The erstwhile Chairman of the Ways and Means Committee, Rep. Charlie Rangel (D-N.Y.), has had his “wrist slapped” because he didn’t report that some corporations paid his way (and other Congressmen) to a conference in the Caribbean. Out of all the charges that have been leveled against him, that was probably the least damning, as the other charges of submitting false income reports to Congress, using Congressional stationery to solicit funds to erect a college wing bearing his name, his abuse of the rent-control laws of the City of New York by taking 4 apartments for his own personal use, etc., etc. Shouldn’t Nancy Pelosi have been shocked at these revelations? Of course not, she only gets shocked when a Republican is accused of malfeasance (real or imagined), like in the case of former Rep. Tom DeLay. In fact, she came to Rangel’s defense by saying that the ethics committee said that he didn’t “violate” House rules. What does ole Charlie have to do, hold up a bank to get condemned by the former Speaker? But, being the good “party soldier” that he is, he requested a leave of absence of the Chairmanship of Ways and Means Committee until the OCE had completed its investigation. He really thinks he has done no wrong, but what the hell, neither does Nancy Pelosi. Finally, after much prodding, the House Ethics Committee did bring charges against Cong. Rangel (it only took three years) and the Congress censured him. But, guess what, he is now running again for re-election and most probably will win another 2-year term in his racially gerrymandered district. What a country?
Last spring, a year ago, the House agreed to investigate 7 members of the House subcommittee on defense spending, including the now deceased Rep. John Murtha, for soliciting clients of the PMA Group (a lobbyist organization - Paul Magliocchetti Associates) for campaign contributions. According to the Seattle Times, in the 2008 defense bill alone, lawmakers gave PMA clients 172 earmarks. Everything about this arrangement smacks of the “one hand washes the other” theory of taking care of friends who take care of friends. Only it happens to be our tax money they are divvying up to buy up campaign contributions from selected clients.
By putting fellow Congressmen in charge of investigating their fellow Congressmen is like putting the fox in charge of the hen house. In the case of Barney Fwank (Frank), it was like putting the fox in charge of the rooster house (if you know what I mean). Nothing worthwhile will come of it and, so far, it hasn’t.
Congressional earmarks, which Obama said he would do away with, but hasn‘t, as any rational person can figure out, is still being used as a fund raising tool by the Congressmen to fill their campaign coffers by directing federal funds to “worthy” constituents. They hope that in return, their largesse will be rewarded by the “worthy” constituents in the form of hefty campaign contributions which all Congressmen need to help them get re-elected. The culture of earmarks, of which there were 10,000 in the FY 2010 spending bills, will not be cancelled by the Congress because they have nothing to fear from the OCE (Office of Congressional Ethics) .
The “Culture of Corruption” lives on, and on, and on.
