The Emperor Has No Clothes!

This was one of the stories written by that famous author, Hans Christian Andersen, about a naïve ruler who believed something that he was not, and his adherents were to blinded of him to tell him that he was full of dog-doo ( a refined way of saying he was full of it).

Most frequently today, the metaphor involves a situation wherein the overwhelming (usually the underpowered masses) majority of observers willingly share in a collective ignorance of an obvious fact, despite individually recognizing the absurdity of the emperor’s actions.

That phrase is often used in political and social contexts for any obvious truth denial by the majority despite the evidence of their eyes, especially when proclaimed by the government.

Could this definition of the phrase realistically be applied to our present president, Barack Hussein Obama? Well, let’s take a look and see if there is a correlation between what he says and what he does and the “unnatural” ardor of his supporters who would seem to overlook any chink in his armor. It seems they really see that the “Emperor has no clothes”, but for the overall good of the Democratic Party, they perceive him as fully clothed, even though he is as naked as a J-bird.

Since his inauguration in Jan. 2009, he has never gotten off the campaign trail, he has shown very little leadership as president, and has only offered up a regurgitated array of political rhetoric by spouting off platitudes that he had poll tested beforehand, before his hand-picked audiences.

He has stated that his Administration would be the most transparent in history, he and it has not been. He said he would get the country back working, but he has not, as unemployment has been stuck around 8% or above for over 4 ½ years. He said that taxes would not rise for 95% of Americans due to his economic policies, but as taxes rise on everyone, his words ring hollow. He said that it was wrong to target Conservative and religious groups by the IRS, but nothing has been done as a few high ranking IRS officials have taken the 5th Amendment and still are on the payroll. The other thorns in his side, Fast and Furious, Benghazi, and the NSA snooping on reporters, have all been called “phony” scandals by Obama when, in fact, they are real and ongoing. He has started to lose credibility, even among some of his most ardent supporters ( ex: the unions).

You can’t keep saying the same things over and over again when reality, in real life, flies in the face of what he is saying and what he wants you to believe.

The economy is not in a robust recovery, no matter what he says. Al-Queda has not been defeated, no matter what he says. The deficit has not been cut, no matter what he says. The (Un) Affordable Health Care Act (Obamacare) is not bringing down health care insurance premiums, no matter what he says.

In other words, the “Emperor has no clothes”, no matter what he says ( or what the Obama Zombies say).

What the liberals are lacking in intelligence, they more than make for in stupidity.

Repeating what I said in one of my commentaries, "Barack Obama does what he shouldn't and doesn't do what he should!"
