Is the Obama Era the new “Dark Age”?

Never have we seen such an assault against the founding principles as set forth by the framers of our Constitution. The founders, in their great wisdom, set up a system (a democratic republic) of shared powers, made up as the executive, legislative, and judicial. In the last six years we have seen an erosion of those shared powers by an all empowering executive branch and a diminution of the power of the people through their elected representatives in Congress.

Is this unilateral power shift good for the United States? When an executive branch member, the president, can unilaterally set aside laws passed by the Congress and signed by the President, because “he knows better” than we the public (through our elected representatives), you know that “Something is rotten in Denmark” (the definition being that a situation is very wrong and all is not well at the top of the political hierarchy).

Does our “esteemed” President have ESP to be able to determine what is best for the American people all by himself, even though most all polls report that the people (70%) think that our country is on the wrong track, both domestically and foreign policy-wise. Only a narcissist in an empty Armani suit could take that burden upon himself. Could that narcissist be Barack Hussein Obama?

During his six years in office, we've had the slowest recovery from a recession in the history of our country, our credit rating has been reduced for the first time in our history, our debt is now over $18.3 trillion and rising, the U-6 unemployment rate is stagnant at 11.3% (only 62.7% of eligible workers are working at a full-time job), our health care system has been turned on its head and approx. 60% of the people say it (Obamacare) should be changed or scrapped altogether, our foreign policies are laughed at around the world and Muslim terrorism has increased substantially (especially in the Western countries and in our own), and “lying” has become the national pastime in Wash. D.C. (especially among the Democrats), and on and on.

Pronouncements by Obama, when he was first sworn into office, proclaimed that his Administration would be the most transparent administration in history, well, how has that turned out? The scandals surrounding the Obama Administration have been prevalent throughout his reign, such as, Fast and Furious, the wasteful Stimulus package (when shovel ready jobs weren't shovel ready), the harassing of conservative groups seeking a 501-C3 tax designation status by the I.R.S. for political purposes, the spying on fellow Americans and journalists by the NSA, the favorable waivers given to political donors and supporters of Obama and the Democrats after “Obamacare” was passed, the promoting of a phony video scenario about the murders of four Americans in Benghazi (one being our Ambassador to Libya) etc., etc. It seems that every other week a new scandal arises to overshadow the other previous scandals. Where's the transparency?

As our Constitution guarantees “Freedom of Speech”, if you criticize or question the policies of Obama, you are called names and epithets, especially including the dreaded word “racist”. It seems that his race trumps any and all criticism.

I'm sure that when history is written in the future, Obama and his Administration will be shown to be a throwback to those days once called the “Dark Ages”, even though we are in an enlightened technological age.

Devious, disrespectful, disingenuous, and devoid of commonsense, are all attributable to the persona of our "Liar in Chief", Barack Hussein Obama. His legacy in history will be as one of the worst presidents that the U.S. has ever had. The American people elected him twice, not on the basis of is character, but because of the color of his skin. We are now reaping the fallacy of those elections. Let's hope the U.S.A. can survive these last two years of this electoral disaster.
