Obama in Japan

Our imperial President is on a trip to Asia. While in Japan Obama dined at a famed sushi restaurant, Sukiyabashi Jiro. A special sushi course was served - at $300 a person - that featured Pacific bluefin tuna. The special dinner serves about a dozen courses that is served in about 20 minutes. After dining at the restaurant, Obama told reporters that "That's some good sushi right there." Ambassador Caroline Kennedy and national security adviser Susan Rice joined Obama.

One problem is that the tuna that Obama enjoyed is on the endangered species list. Overfishing has resulted in a 96% drop in the species population. Business Insider, who reported the story today, asked for comments from the White House - but so far, no calls have been returned.

The real question is, will the mainstream media cover this story? If a conservative Republican ate at such a restaurant and dined on anything considered endangered, the headlines would be screaming. The environmentalists would be picketing and screaming. PETA would announce a boycott. Will the NY Times, NBC, or other media cover it? Stay tuned.

The countries of Asia can now breathe easier as our "Liar in Chief" has now proclaimed that he will stand behind them in cases of their national security being threatened. Where have we heard those sentiments before, and was anything of substance done to back them up? The answer, of course, is a resounding "NO", just ask the Israeli's and the Syrian people.
