Is Our Commander-in-Chief, Barack Hussein Obama…… A.W.O.L.?

This phrase (A.W.O.L. - Absent Without Leave) which pertains mostly to the military, is defined as being absent from a post, especially a military position, without permission. Our present President, Barack Hussein Obama, as Commander-in-Chief, seems to be absent without leave from his job as president. He doesn’t seem to be present in the making of decisions and the carrying out of his duties of president like he should be doing, which in turn affects negatively, the country of the United States. As I said in one of my previous editorials, the lights are on in the White House, but it seems that nobody is home. Obama (and his wife) love the trappings of the office of the presidency, but he dislikes or shuns with a passion, the duties that the job entails. He really seems to be A.W.O.L.

Look at some of the things that he has done or hasn’t done over the past few years. He has played over 120 rounds of golf while we have an unemployment rate hovering around 8% and our recovery from the recession that has been pitiful. Is that “sharing the hardship”, like his fellow Americans have had to endure? Yes, we all know that being president is a stressful job and that he needs some recreation or down time to unwind, but playing golf 120 times is a bit much, don’t you think? In fact, during the raid on Osama bin Laden’s enclave in Pakistan, where was our Commander-in-Chief, on the golf course, where he had to be called off the golf course to witness the take down of Osama by our brave Navy Seals. Yet, he was the first to take credit for this heroic event. You could say he was shameless in his claiming credit for the raid (in fact, it was reported that it was Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and C.I.A Director Robert Gates, who actually gave the order to proceed with the raid). He and his Zombie supporters still today bring up the killing of Osama bin Laden as the crowning achievement of his Administration. (General Motors is alive and Osama bin Laden is dead is their rueful chant).

We all know that CEO’s delegate power to others, as the chief executive officer can’t micro-manage everything under his domain, but when is Obama going to at least know what’s happening in his own administration and around the world? Yes, he can give great speeches (as he reads them off his teleprompter), but being president takes more than giving a speech or fund raising for the Democratic Party in front of $50,000 a plate dinner guests.

His actions, as president, are just a continuation of what he did as an Illinois State Senator. It was reported that he voted 130 times “present” by not voting “Yea” or “Nay” on important issues that came before the Illinois State Senate. As president, he just can’t seem “to pull the trigger” in making a timely decision. His total lack of executive experience is really showing through, and the U.S. is the worse for it. The world is in turmoil and the domestic scandals are coming fast and furious (no pun intended), and he knows nothing, only what he reads in the newspaper or what he sees on T.V..

Look at all the people in his Administration who have screwed up, and how many still have a job, either the same one or a different job (some even have been promoted)? Is that what we want in our president, a procrastinator, a wuss, or, on a few occasions, an outright liar? I hope not!

Of course his ardent supporters will claim that all these charges against Obama are all politically motivated, and then the usual charge is put forth that his critics are “racist” because they can’t accept a black president. Hogwash! This pretender to the throne, Barack Hussein Obama, is and has been since his first inauguration, A.W.O.L. from the job as president, and he really should be relieved of duty. One can only wish that would happen.
