WHO ARE THE POLITICAL HATERS?

Lately, the “unhinged left” have been accusing anyone with the label of Republican, Conservative, right-wing, “Tea Partier” etc. as being racists, bigots, advocates of violence and intolerant dolts and rednecks. That’s quite a slander and libel against a group of fellow citizens. Is it true?

The closer we get to the November elections, it seems that the more strident these outrageous charges are becoming against the people who are protesting the President and the agenda of the Democrats. They (the liberals) seem to see the writing on the wall that the Republicans are headed for a big victory and they just can’t handle it. They are really becoming unhinged.

Stories and anecdotes, made up of “whole cloth”, about bigoted, racist signs at the “Tea Parties”, calls for violence against Congressmen, the use of the “N” word against black people and a host of other unsubstantiated charges, are being articulated by liberals as “facts” when the “facts” don’t back them up.

Just recently, Congressman Bart Stupak, who was against the health care bill before he voted for it (does that sound familiar?), had some people in his camp claim that he was threatened because of the health care debate. These flacks implied that it was people who support the “Tea Party” philosophy who were making the threats. Let’s take a look at those charges. The threats supposedly were made prior to the actual vote in the House of Representatives when Stupak was against the bill because of the wording on the abortion issue contained in the bill. His withholding of support was what the “Tea Party” people were in favor of. Why would they threaten someone who seemed to be in favor of their political position? Most likely, it was the people in support of passage (the Democrats) of the bill who threatened him because they feared he might sabotage the passage of the bill. He (Stupak), as you now know, changed his mind just 4 hours before the actual vote after the pressure was applied by the White House and the Democratic leadership (Pelosi, Hoyer). So, the claim against the Republicans, Conservatives, and the “Tea Party” people were a “red herring” and a diversion to gin up support for the misguided bill and to malign the opposition. What a bunch of hypocrites the “loony liberals” are?

When it comes to trying to stifle free speech (the 1st Amendment), it has historically been the “left” who has engaged in that kind of disruptive behavior.

Conservative speakers at Colleges and Universities are routinely shouted down, and cream pies and raw eggs are thrown at them to keep them from offering their messages to the audiences. How many incidents have you heard of where liberals received that kind of treatment to keep them from talking? The list of conservative speakers who have encountered these “violent” hooligans, to name a few, are David Horowitz, Ann Coulter, and the President of the “Minutemen”, the Israeli Counsel, and others too numerous to mention.

So, it’s not the “thugs” of the right that are the culprits, but the so-called peace-loving, tolerant liberal left that has caused most of the disruptions and personal threats against individuals. The people attending the “Tea Parties” and the town-hall meetings are mostly well-behaved, non-violent and angry and frustrated at what their government is doing to them. At all their gatherings, not one arrest was made for disorderly conduct. They have a right for redress against their government and they are the one’s that should be protected and not smeared by the “loony left” and the “lame stream media”. The fable about the “Boy who cried wolf” would certainly be apropos in describing the actions of the liberal left (or are they called “progressives” now?). No matter how you package it, is still wrong.

About the Gulf Oil Spill

For those who maybe wondering, it is clear, the Federal government is screwing up again, although I can not say this is particularly Obama's fault -- just the way the government works!

For almost the last 20 years, I have been involved with several products that quickly and completely collect, solidify and immobilize oil [hydrocarbons]. The products QUICKLY turn even crude oil into a plastic like blob that floats on the water, is not a danger to fish, birds or any other marine life. Exxon has been very happy with it, as have a number of other firms, BUT all the Coast Guard [the controlling authority] will allow to be used are DISPERSANTS -- i.e. soap, so the oil is not visible to tv cameras or people! The booms they are using only corral the oil, rather than the booms I have that wick oil in and get it out of the way. In fact, AFTER oil has been encapsulated, it can be BURNED FOR ENERGY in a waste to energy facility, giving more power than coal, and less pollution. While BP, Tidewater and others are not without fault, they can not put a TEASPOON in the water without SPECIFIC FEDERAL APPROVAL. Worse yet is that as the oil comes to shore, IF the dispersents are used there as well, the damage to sea life in the shallow water and marshes will not be pretty. I have proof that the government is acting this way so as to STOP 'DRILL BABY DRILL' but I know of no other reason -- of course there is stupidity, obstinacy and bureaucracy.

Research information:
The problem CAN BE HANDLED but the government system is tying everything up. I have been warehousing and selling these materials for almost 20 years. NoChar's bonders are THE BEST -- see http://www.nochar.com/Environmental%20Products.htm since they work fast, and encapsulated material is not a waste but can be burned for energy. MOP, http://www.mopenvironmental.com/ has some very effective absorbents, much better than others in their speed, completeness and easy disposability.

MORT’s MEANDERINGS

Obama has said that America has no right to impose its way of life onto other nations; I agree with that. Yet, he seems to have no compunction about imposing European-style Socialism onto our uniquely American way of life; I vehemently disagree with that.
I’ve just checked my notes - as part owner of this country (1/300 millionth share) I never authorized him to do that.

THE DEFINITION OF A CORRUPT POLITICIAN – CHARLIE CRIST!

I’m not trying to be flippant because I am now supporting Marco Rubio for the U.S. Senate from Florida. I am dead serious.

If ever there was a “poster boy” for being a self-serving politician, Charlie Crist is the guy. He is all for himself, he couldn’t care less for honesty, integrity, and loyalty. He reminds me of the little boy who gets called out in a sandlot game (do they still have sandlot games?) and gets piqued and takes his bat and ball, which they were using in the game, and goes home to momma thereby stopping the game for the others.

Most Republicans supported Crist when he ran and won the Florida governorship and supported him big-time up till the beginning of 2008, when his support started to wane due to some political backstabbing. Word got out that he was going to support Rudy Guiliani for President, but when he was mentioned as a vice-presidential candidate for a McCain ticket, he switched his support from Giuliani to McCain. It was determined then that Charlie Crist’s word was not to be trusted and the erosion of his G.O.P. support started to unravel slowly but surely. Over the past year and a half, the perception of Charlie Crist, is a politician who puts his finger up in the air to see which way the wind was blowing and then he follows the wind. Does the name Bill Clinton come to mind?

Take, for instance, Charlie was originally against drilling for gas and oil off the coast of Florida, but when he was mentioned as a potential Veep candidate, he suddenly switched and became a proponent of drilling. A miraculous conversion occurred, to say the least. Now, as he plans to run as an independent, he now has reservations again about whether drilling is a good thing to pursue. Maybe he has his eyes on the liberals and the Democrats he is planning to court during his “independent” campaign?

In addition, last year it was almost unanimous within the Republican Party to oppose the Obama “Stimulus Bill”. Being promised money for some of his pet projects, like a bullet train between Tampa and Orlando, he embraced Obama in Tampa and eagerly accepted the promise of getting funds from the “Stimulus Bill”. That hug and flowing praise by Crist for Obama did not sit well with the G.O.P. rank and file, but he still had substantial support within the G.O.P. But, some rumblings were starting to be heard from the troops on the ground in the Republican Party.

In the meantime, he made it known that he was interested in running for the Senate seat that was once held by Mel Martinez. He was considered to be the front-runner for the nomination. Out of nowhere, a young, good-looking, articulate conservative state legislator by the name of Marco Rubio made it be known that he was going to challenge Crist and run for the Senate seat. When Rubio made his announcement, Charlie Crist had over a 30 point lead and millions of dollars in his campaign chest. He was an odds-on favorite.

As Crist waffled or flip-flopped on issue after issue and Rubio’s energetic campaigning around the state, the once insurmountable lead of Charlie Crist evaporated. Over the past few months, Rubio came on like gangbusters and opened up a double digit lead over Charlie Crist. Panic set in the Crist camp and rumors of an independent run was put out as a possibility as the polls continued to tumble. On Fox News Sunday in April, five times Chris Wallace asked him if would run for the Senate as a Republican and five times he unequivocally said yes. Now, since Crist has lost most of the conservative base, he looked to do something to appeal to the liberals, so when the education reform bill, which he was in favor of as a Republican, came to his governor’s desk, he flip-flopped again and vetoed the bill, ingratiating himself with the liberal teacher’s union and hopefully gaining their support in November.

Some people wonder what principles Charlie Crist have. This political “narcissist” seems to be interested only in himself and his self-preservation as a politician, the Party and the public be damned.

So, goodbye Charlie, it was nice knowing you when you still had some integrity.

Every young person from high school age to 70 needs to watch and read this to fully understand the seriousness of this process, and recognize the threat to their future if they don’t take action. This is a process that not only has to be stopped but has to be reversed in order for our country to begin healing itself to survive as a Republic with its freedoms intact.

This takes about five minutes, and please forward to everyone concerned about our Country.
