MORT’s meanderings

Yesterday, we witnessed a miraculous, visual gift from our Creator:
A Horizon-to-Horizon RAINBOW.
A rainbow is a meteorological phenomenon that is caused by refection, refraction and dispersion of light in water droplets resulting in a spectrum of light appearing in the sky.  It takes the form of a multicolored arc.  Rainbows caused by sunlight always appear in the section of sky directly opposite the sun.  (Well, who doesn’t know that?)
It was around 5:30PM (ET) on Monday, April 24, 2017 as we were driving in the Boynton Beach area of Florida, just after a misty rain when suddenly, we were treated to a perfect rainbow arc that appeared directly in front of us.  It stretched from the horizon on our left to the horizon on our right.  The view was perfect – totally unencumbered or obstructed by trees, structures or clouds; it was a true arc with all the colors as vivid and clearly defined as I have  ever witnessed.  From the red at the top of the arc, to the orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo and violet at the bottom of the arc – each color had its full value.
As luck would have it, for the first time in a long time, I didn’t have a camera with me.  But, in a way that was okay, because it allowed me to keep viewing this phenomenon with no break or  distraction. And, I do believe that picture in full-color, is forever imprinted on my mind’s eye.
I am convinced that this visual gift sent by our Creator, is meant to be a reminder that such fabulous beauty is symbolic of the miracles that are available to us, if only we have the faith to believe in certain things that we can see but, cannot touch or control.  I am willing to believe that rainbows are exquisitely ethereal messages sent precisely to remind us this.

How did that natural beautiful phenomenon, the rainbow, get hijacked by the LGBT community? The distinguishing factor between the two is that the rainbow is a normal happening while the other is not. God bless Mother Nature.
