Attention: Republican Presidential Candidates

We need to hear what your plans are for solving some of the most urgent threats to our nation – i.e., Illegal aliens crossing our borders; the economy that is not recovering but, is faltering; the smothering of the Free Market System by way too much Government regulation; the unfair, oppressive tax system; the crushing national debt run up beyond our ability to make a dent in it; the emasculation of our Armed Forces; the divisive mentality that is Obama’s specialty and that has us pitting one segment of our population against another -  all are vital issues to be addressed by the new President in 2016.

But, it is my assessment that the No.1 issue posing the most dire immediate threat to our security and to our very survival as a people and as a nation is – the rise of the lunacy that is militant Islam!

Under the lunacy that is the Obama Administration, we have not nor will we ever, take any meaningful steps to confront, much less seek, kill & obliterate ISIS or any other form of Islamist lunacy that is bent on destroying Israel and the United States and is dedicated to imposing Sharia law on every square inch of territory around the world.  

Sitting by and waiting to be attacked is lunacy on our part.  The next President of the United States must commit to pre-emptive strikes upon ISIS and the others who would do us harm.  We must seek out and destroy these mortal enemies of freedom and our Western way of civilized life.  If we are to survive; they must be obliterated from the surface of the Earth.  We must hear this from serious candidates for the Presidency.        No backbone, no commitment -  NO VOTE!   Got it?

Should the U.S. Ban All Firearms?

If you listen to President Obama and most of the Democrats, we need to pass more gun-control legislation in an attempt to avoid another mass shooting at another college or on a soft, vulnerable target like an elementary school, a movie theater, or a shopping mall. In fact, many of these anti-gun, liberal“progressive” individuals would like to see all guns banned and confiscated, the sooner the better.

President Obama, as usual, used the shooting at the Community College in Oregon to further his fanatical stance on national gun control. Here he was, piously proclaiming, that if we passed “meaningful” gun control legislation that that massacre wouldn't have happened. He made that statement without knowing what all the facts were concerning that shooting. We all know, or should know, that repeal of the 2nd Amendment will not ever happen, even if the Messiah (our president) and the Democrats would like to see that happen.

In his speech immediately following the Oregon college shooting, he mentioned that other countries have banned guns and, as a result, their crime rates fell. He mentioned Australia in particular. Well, let's see what has happened in Australia since they banned all firearms in that country.

It has been over 18 years since gun owners in Australia were forced (yes, forced) to surrender their firearms (640,381 to be exact) which cost Australian taxpayers over $500 million in reimbursement costs. Here are the results of that ban on firearms. Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2%; Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6%; Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44% (yes, that's 44%). In the State of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are up 300% (remember, while law-abiding citizens turned in their guns, the criminals did not and they still possess their guns). There also has been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults on the elderly, even while the residents were at home. The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest, law abiding citizens save lives and property, and, yes, anti- gun-control laws affect only the law abiding citizen and not the criminal.

Did you also notice that most all of these massacres have occurred in “Gun Free Zones” like church's, movie theaters, public schools, restaurants, college campuses, and shopping malls? Since criminals now are guaranteed that their “prey” is unarmed, these incidents in these vulnerable places, are made to order for a deranged individual to do his dirty work.

Mention should also be made that the cities and towns with the toughest gun-control laws are more prone to have crimes committed with guns (ex: Chicago, Baltimore, Detroit, and New Orleans) - by the way, those cities and towns are all run by progressive liberal Democrats. I wonder why? So much for tougher gun-control laws.

Mention could also be made that the country of Switzerland requires that all it citizens own a firearm, and Switzerland has the lowest crime rate in the world, and that includes deaths by firearms. How come anti-gun fanatics like President Obama and former N.Y. Mayor Michael Bloomberg, don't mention that anomaly? Would it be because it doesn't fit their anti-gun agenda? Of course! They also forget to mention that most all these gun incidents were not committed by the “evil” NRA members or honest, law abiding, legal gun owning citizens.

So, to the question, “Should the U.S. Ban All Firearms”, the answer

is a resounding NO. As the old saying goes, “Guns don't kill people, people kill people” just like SUV's don't kill people, people driving SUV's kill people.

When Barack Obama vied for the presidency, he never realized
he bit off more than he could chew, and now finds he has no
appetite for it.

He thought he could make up the menu, not caring about the cost
of ingredients, or how to acquire them, and then have his chefs do
his bidding, putting it all together while he tees off. The problem
is, he doesn't know how to put a recipe (strategy) together.

It was a shock when he learned government operates with a fixed
menu called the Constitution. When he doesn't like the 'soup du jour,
he tries to order off the menu (executive order).

Any time he put on an apron and goes into the kitchen to concocted
something on his own, what ever he cooks up always turns out to
leave a lasting bad taste in ones mouth.

It takes more than ambiance for a successful operation.

Gates and Fences

The break-in at the DNC headquarters at the Watergate Office Complex
on June 17, 1970, in Washington, D.C. sparked what now indicates scandal
 about clandestine or illegal activity by adding "Gate" on the end of the activity.
For example: Monica-gate, Iran/Contra-gate, Travel-gate, etc.

By the nature of the Obama opaque administration's alleged misconduct and
 the, in contempt of congress Attorney General Eric Holder's stonewalling, a
 new and different designation is needed to replace 'gate' because a gate can
be opened.

Fences are designed to deter penetration, therefore Obama- fence is appropriate
 to use for various sections of the contentious challenges that face select committees
 investigating the VA-fence, the NSA-fence, the IRS-fence, the AP phone
records-fence, the Fast and Furious-fence, the Bergdahl-fence, the Gruber-fence,
 the Benghazi-fence and the DOJ reporter and Conservative targeting-fence.

“Political Correctness” is the Bane of a Civil Society

What is “political correctness”? A popular definition is: “ Political correctness is considered to be an unwritten set of rules by unelected, nosy, busybodies, who determine what you are free to say under the guise of tolerance, as set down mostly by liberals”. They (the P.C.liberals) are the judge, jury, and executioner of the words and actions of what people say or do. The liberals are always clamoring for “free speech”, but they are the one's who want to restrict free speech if it doesn't comply with their definition of what is right and wrong and proper. Political correctness is insidious and destructive in our free and open society, and is the antithesis of our guaranteed rights as citizens as enumerated in the 1st Amendment to the Constitution.

People, under our Constitution, have a right to be able to express themselves freely and openly, even if some think that speech and those expressions are stupid, hurtful or silly, and without having to censor what they say by some unelected self-styled member of the P.C. Police.

Look what's happening around us today. The loony liberals are going on the attack in order to prop up the Democrat candidates. They are trotting out the the same old “litmus test” questions that they always ask Republican candidates hoping that they will say something that the liberals will claim as being “politically incorrect”.

In almost every election cycle, the liberals bring up volatile social issues in order to divert attention away from the important issues facing our country, like national security, strengthening the economy, and the slowing down of the tremendous debt that we, as a nation, are piling up for our children and grandchildren to worry about in future years etc, etc. Already, the Republican candidates have had to answer “gotcha” questions by the liberal media on the topics of abortion, Muslims, same sex marriage, contraception, planned parenthood, and the phony “War on Women”.

Unfortunately, the Republican candidates fall for the “bait” and try to answer those questions - and as a result they get hammered by the media and the liberal Democrats as they twist and turn what the candidates say to make it a negative about them. The pejorative words that roll off the liberals lips as an example are, homophobes, sexist, racist, terrorist, and insensitive etc. These are some of the words and phrases used to describe the Republicans because they did not adhere to the P.C. orthodoxy as laid down by by the holier-than-thou liberals.

But, both Donald Trump and Ben Carson have not backed down, and rightfully so, and have stuck by what they said, or in Trump's case, what he did not say. Many people feel that that fortitude by these two, by not succumbing to the P.C. Police, is a breath of fresh air which should be the way to handle those “gotcha” questions by all the Republican candidates. People are sick and tired of politicians giving in to “political correctness” by trying to please the liberal left P.C. Police. They don't or should realize that they can't ameliorate the disdain that the liberals have for them, no matter what they say or do. They cannot win, so they should not get bogged down with those “gotcha” questions and move on to the meaningful questions that the public wants answers to.

Today, common everyday words are construed to have a negative P.C. meaning, according to these “protectors” of society. Words such as “golf”, is claimed to be derogatory of Obama because he plays an inordinate amount of rounds of golf with the implication that he is black, also the word such as “angry” shouldn't be used to describe militant black groups, as that is a “dog whistle” word to put down blacks, and on and on. To these arbiters of speech codes, especially when it comes to race, it is not the color of a man's skin that is the problem, it is how thin it is.

Look at how many words relating to these topics that are now considered off-limits by the P.C. Police:

• global warming if you are a “denier”
• affirmative action if you are against it.
• gay marriage if you believe in traditional marriage
• labeling Muslims as terrorists even though most terrorists are Muslim.
• complimenting women on their appearance is considered sexual harassment.
• professing a belief in God. (God forbid!)
• Use of words such as midget, retarded etc.

The list goes on and on, but I'm sure you get the drift of how we are losing our right to express ourselves without interference from others.

So YES, I believe that “political correctness” is the bane of our society, and the quicker we can free ourselves from its tentacles the better off we all will be.

The Moral Collapse

According to Obama, Clinton, and liberals the cause of the indiscriminate killings we have seen is because guns are too easy to get.  However, in my opinion the real reason for these latest events is the moral collapse we have witnessed throughout the world and in this country.

Nowadays, according to the liberals, there are no moral truths; everything is relative.  Individual responsibility is gone.  Instead, liberals blame everything on society, the establishment – whatever that is – and, of course, racism.  The Judea-Christian creed at one time was considered the norm – not something that is now scorned at or made fun of by the Hollywood liberals.   Liberals have taken God and the Judea-Christian creed out of school, out of government, and out of everyday life.  Instead we have a bunch of principles that are based on whatever the latest humanitarian system of beliefs is.  It is ironic that these liberals are so opposed to the Judaic-Christian background of our country and yet are tolerant of the narrow Islamic philosophy.  I guess that’s the “logic” of liberals.

I recall when I was a child growing up in Queens, NY that things were a lot different.  Back in those days the police were respected, school was a place you went to get an education, and people respected each other.  Drugs were something you took when you were sick and you considered yourself daring if you sneaked a smoke or had a beer!  Not everything was great.  African-Americans faced discrimination and in many parts of the country anyone with a “foreign sounding” name may have been treated less favorably.  However, there was a basic respect for doing the right thing and treating each other in a fair manner.  Abortion was not considered a form of birth control and nobody in their right mind would consider it acceptable to market unborn baby parts.  The family was considered an integral part of society.  Patriotism was considered the norm.

My father was born in a foreign country.  He came to this country – what he called the land of opportunity – worked hard and considered the U.S. the greatest country in the world.  He came to this country with less than a high school education.  However, he believed in hard work and putting his God-given talents to use.  He never asked for a handout.  Rather, through hard work and perseverance he became a successful business man.  There may have been times when “Americans” may have made fun of him because of his accent.  However, he used such comments as an incentive to succeed and succeed he did.  

But, boy have things changed.

·         Mass school shootings have become all too common.

·         New born babies are thrown in dumpsters.

·         Abortion has become an acceptable form of birth control.  The sale of baby parts is defended. 

·         Over 170,000 Christians have been murdered by ISIS because they will not renounce their faith.

·         Police are shot at and killed because they are police.

·         A politician is chastised for saying “all lives matter” not just Black lives. 

·         Recently in Syria a child had his fingers cut off and he was subsequently murdered because his father became a Christian.  At the same time his mother and 11 other women were raped and then murdered by ISIS for the same “offense.”

·         Cities in defiance of federal law offer unlawful immigrants immunity and, in fact, provide them more assistance than they do to their own citizens.

·         Welfare is considered a right.  Many people are on the dole for their entire life without the need to work. 

·         Drug use is rampart and marijuana is considered no more harmful than a cup of coffee.

·         The family unit has collapsed. Today 72.2% of African-American babies are born out of wedlock.  The figure for Hispanics is 53.5% and for whites it is 29.4%.  In 1949 the figure for all out of wedlock births was only 3.7%.

Yes, things were a lot different in the good old days.  It was when the Judaic-Christian creed was thrown out that society changed for the worse.  When individual responsibility is abolished and excuses for bad behavior are the norm, society suffers.  

So, don't blame guns for what has happened in this country.  It is the result of a moral collapse.
